There are no translations available ![]() How to keep your lead acid batteries in good shape : ◊ Always keep the battery charged. ◊ Do not over-charge a battery (usually the best rate is 1/10 of the Ah capacity) Quick chargers are very bad for a battery ... although sometimes necessary. ◊ Before a long storage period (winter) fully charge the battery, and at least once every two months recharge the battery.(Better to use continuous trickle charge) (If the trickel charge source is a solar PV panel, remove snow from PV panels during the winter or vertically position the PV panel) ◊ Do not overheat a battery. ◊ Never allow the electrolyte to freeze. ◊ Check the electrolyte level in each element and refill with distilled water only. ◊ Attach firmly the battery into your vehicule in order to avoid shocks to breake the case . ◊ Keep the + and - terminals clean in order to avoid the corrosion to get inside the case. ◊ Do not let the electrolyte to bubble for long periods except during the equalization, as it mechanically destroys the internal structure. |
